Hello to the world out there!
Let me start by introducing myself! My name is Caroline McCall. I am a New Orleanian to the core, but left the birthplace of jazz to pursue my dreams of one day becoming a fabulous Interior Designer! I embarked on a journey, a whole hour and forty-five minutes away from my favorite place in the world, to the college town of Hattiesburg, MS. I am a student at The University of Southern Mississippi and studying, you guessed it, Interior Design!
Since I was a young sprout, design has been one of my passions. I loved to sketch floor plans on scraps of paper or draw fun wall treatments, and color them with my 8 pack Crayola markers. Ohh those were the days! Now, as a senior in my Interior Design classes, AutoCAD has become my right hip and my computer never leaves my side.
Now this semester, I am taking an interesting class: Entrepreneurship in Apparel and Interiors. I hope in taking this entrepreneurship class, that I will learn a way to take creative design ideas from my jumbled mess of a brain and actually make them into a reality. I want to incorporate home/commercial decor ideas into all of my projects, and from there use them in projects that I will create in my Interior Design classes.
Modern Design is the inspiration for many of my projects. Sleek lines and harsh contrasts are my favorite and I love love love to have these things in all of my designs! Throughout this blog, I want to share my ideas in design and all things crafty that I may do. Enjoy the ideas and welcome to Modern Marvels!
